Trondheim Matchmaking is a festival project for art & technology that TEKS – Trondheim Electronic Arts Centre started in 2002 as part of the organisation’s strategy for raising awareness of the field of art & technology. The festival ran for eight years until 2009.
Along the road, Trondheim Matchmaking became a major part of TEKS’s activities, and in 2010 we revealed its successor, Meta.Morf – biennale for art & technology.
From the 2002 intro text:
Trondheim Matchmaking is an annual international festival that shall act as a meeting point for presenting innovative ideas and artistic projects, a place to share knowledge, make contacts and learn new skills and develop resources within new technology and electronic arts. New art projects with a need for technology – new technologies with a need for substance: a place to bind together resources and competence within the field.
